Mr. Reekrit Serai is an Educationalist, Publisher, Entrepreneur, Author and Investor.
He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Rumour Books India, one of India’s largest and reputed English-language trade publishing houses, and the official publisher of PM Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat.
In 2013, he co-founded the Panchkula Art and Literary Festival (PALF), one of upper north India’s largest and most recognised literary and art festivals, and is the Founding Director.
Currently, he is Co-Chair for Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Young Indians (Yi), Chandigarh region.
He is also the Director & Dean of Satluj Group of Schools, Panchkula, the Chandigarh (Punjab, India) region’s oldest and largest private group of schools, founded in 1976. Under his leadership, Satluj has been catapulted to No. 5 in India (ranked by EducationToday), rated by Fortune Magazine and Udacity as a ‘Future50 School of India’, awarded for ‘Innovations in Educational Pedagogy’ by Digital Learning at the World Education Summit and voted as a ‘Top50 Centre for Academic Excellence in Asia’ by Cambridge International Examinations.
Serai, who specialises in investing in and advising early stage and growth-stage startups, also serves on the boards of successful Non-for-Profits, EdTech, PubTech (Publishing Technology), HRTech and FinTech companies as an Advisor.
The companies he has invested in and advises have earned tens of millions of dollars in revenue over the past few years.
